I paint form and pattern with expressive color.
The light and shadow of everyday scenes whether they are seen in Mediterranean Europe, Central America, Mexico and my own backyard have driven my artistic investigation for the past twenty years.
Pastels are my tools that I use to interpret the emotions which every day scenes bring to me. While traveling with fellow artists and family, I have made colorful observations sitting and painting in the corner of small town cafes, busy markets, the shade of Roman aqueducts and quiet gardens.
